La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort announces the appointment of Robert Hickam as General Manager of The Citrus Club at La Quinta Resort & Club. Hickam will oversee operations at the members-only Citrus Club, which encompasses the Citrus Course, a members-only private golf course, and the Pete Dye designed Mountain and Dunes courses, both semi-private golf courses within walking distance of La Quinta Resort.

“We are thrilled to have Robert at the helm of The Citrus Club,” said Dermot Connolly, General Manager for La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West. “His proven track record of increasing membership and building a positive team culture will continue our commitment to providing a personalized, seamless guest experience.”

Hickam began his career in hospitality in 1983 and brings with him over 35 years of member services and elite golf club management experience. He most recently served as the Golf Academy Sales and Operations Manager at Pebble Beach Resorts. Prior to this, Hickam was the General Manager of Tahoe Mountain Club, where he oversaw all day-to-day golf operations at the private mountain-top lodge.

The Citrus Club at La Quinta Resort offers social, golf, tennis, spa and fitness activities year-round. The Club’s exclusive association with La Quinta Resort offers members benefits and privileges including preferred pricing on guest rooms, food and beverage, golf and tennis shop apparel, and spa services.
