Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas announces that Borja Manchado will lead the team at the third and newest Four Seasons property in Mexico. The new construction boasts 141 rooms and the largest resort residential real estate footprint in the portfolio.
A seasoned hotelier, Manchado’s career has spanned across every continent except Antarctica. His new role as General Manager marks his return to Mexico, having started his journey with Four Seasons at Four Seasons HOtel Mexico City as Front Desk Manager in 2004. He has since held roles at the former Four Seasons Resort Carmelo, Uruguay, Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, and most recently, Four Seasons Hotel Miami, where he served as Hotel Manager.
“Borja’s talent and passion for our guest’s satisfaction make him the ideal candidate to usher in this new Resort,” says Vince Parrotta, President, Hotel Operations – Americas West, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “His experience and leadership bring with it an international team of luxury aficionados from both the local market and Four Seasons global talent pool to create a truly extraordinary and authentic Los Cabos experience.”
Spanning over 1,000 acres (404 hectares) on Baja Mexico’s undiscovered East Cape, the Resort welcomes guests to a “new” Los Cabos.” “Everybody else takes a right; our guests go left,” says Manchado, detailing the route from the international airport to the Resort. “They’re headed in a different direction from other properties here along the Baja Peninsula. It gives us a greater sense of adventure, uniqueness and romanticism right from the start.”
Boasting 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) of pristine, swimmable beach on the Sea of Cortez, the Resort is the first Four Seasons to be located on its own private marina. In addition, the new property offers an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course, multiple concept restaurants including world-famous estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis, and a luxury spa. Event planners will delight in the vast array of indoor and outdoor meeting and celebration spaces, including a sunlit ballroom that can accommodate up to 260 guests.
“It is an incredible honour to be a part of this opening!” exclaims Manchado. “I am delighted to welcome both our guests and our team to an exceptionally special resort experience, and also to introduce them to this very beautiful, newly discovered Los Cabos on the East Cape, a true hidden gem of Mexico.”
