Azza Khalil has been named Marketing Manager of the Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne. An experienced hospitality executive, Ms. Khalil has more than 28 years in the travel and information technology industries. She joined Switzerland’s newest luxury resort last December reporting to Gabriela Cojocaru, the Director of Revenue & Business Strategy for the Bürgenstock Resort.
Prior to joining the Bürgenstock Resort, Ms. Khalil spent more than 16 years with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in senior marketing positions. She directed global campaigns across multiple channels and developed the concept for the hospitality company’s 40-year jubilee. She was involved in corporate branding, developing marketing strategies, conducting market research, participating in international trade fairs, partnership marketing and directing photo and video shoots as well as providing support for the public relations team.
She graduated from business school KVZ Zurich with a diploma in Online Marketing and Social Media. She attended SAWI, the Academy for Swiss Marketing and Communicatons and the SMP Management Program at St. Gallen, an internationally- renowned business school in Switzerland. She has continued her studies taking graduate courses through ECornell, one of the leading universities in the U.S. for hospitality studies.
A Swiss citizen, Ms. Khalil speaks English, German and Arabic. In her spare time, she follows politics, is interested in history and enjoys attending the theatre and visiting museums.
