Glampotel, the world’s first and only luxury off-the-grid canvas hotel chain and leader in the clamping sector of the tourism industry, has announced the appointment of Dan Fox as the company’s president.
Fox, whose career as a senior executive and brand builder in the hospitality and travel industry spans more than two decades, will head up all business development and day-to-day operations of the company, reporting directly to Glampotel’s Founder, Chairman, and CEO Paul Woolnough.

Prior to Glampotel, Fox’s expansive 30 year experience in the hospitality industry includes serving as Managing Partner of Touring & Tasting Marketing and Media (also a co-founder in 1996) which publishes Touring & Tasting magazine, www.touringandtasting.com, The Online Grapevine, and other traditional and new media products.
He has collaborated closely with wineries such as Chalk Hill Estate Winery, V. Sattui Winery, The Hess Collection, Quintessa, Fess Parker Winery, Chateau St. Jean, and papapietro Perry Winery; and destinations including the Willamette Valley, Paso Robles, Traverse City, Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Loudoun County, and many more.
Preceding his tenure at Touring & Tasting, Fox worked with luxury hotels, resorts, and high-end tourism worldwide as President of Resorts & Great Hotels- The Connoisseur’s Guide to the World’s Best where he created and oversaw all facets of the business. Under Fox’s management, Resorts & Great Hotels was successfully converted from a “coffee table guide publication” to a diverse innovative, globally respected, and highly profitable brand.
Fox then repeated this success as Executive Director for John Ueberroth’s Preferred Hotels & Resorts which has over 700 luxury international hotel/resort/destinations in its portfolio and co-created the highly respected Preferred Golf Club in partnership with American Express. Preferred Golf consists of 120+ of the finest golf resorts in the world including The Broadmoor, Wynn Las Vegas, Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, The K Club, Pebble Beach, The American Club, Domoland Castle, PGA National Resort & Spa, Banyan Tree Mayakoba, and numerous others.
