Dan McDermott appointed General Manager and Adam Leon named Director of Sales and Marketing at Pullman Miami Airport

Pullman Miami Airport, the first hotel of the upscale Pullman Hotels & Resorts brand to enter the North American market, has announced the appointment of Dan McDermott as general manager and Adam Leon as director of sales and marketing.Ê

McDermott brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his role at the helm of Pullman Miami Airport. As general manager, he will be overseeing operations at the property, providing strategic direction to all departments and leading a team of 250 colleagues, with the ultimate goal of delivering unparalleled service to guests. McDermott joins Pullman Miami Airport from the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel where he also served as general manager. Prior to that, McDermott also held general manager positions at the Marenas Beach Resort Miami in Sunny Isles, Florida; Hotel Irvine in Irvine, California; and El Conquistador, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, in Puerto Rico.

In his new position as director of sales and marketing, Leon will be responsible for generating new sales initiatives that increase revenue for the property, as well as developing marketing strategies that are innovative and tactical to keep up with today’s evolving hospitality marketplace. With more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, Leon has a concrete history of success in sales and revenue management, having led sales teams for various renowned Miami hotels such as the Hotel Colonnade and the Hyatt Regency, both in Coral Gables, Florida, as well as the Hilton Palm Beach Oceanfront Resort, Florida and Wyndham International from 1997 to 2001.

McDermott holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and is currently on the board of The Greater Miami & Keys Chapter of the American Red Cross, a philanthropic organization that serves more than two million residents in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Leon holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University and served as President of The South Florida JWU Alumni Chapter from 2010 to 2014.
