Radisson Hotel Group publishes its Sustainability Report 2024

Through rigorous sustainability reporting, the release of Radisson Hotel Group’s 2024 Responsible Business report places a strong emphasis on the Group’s transparency and accountability. Highlights from the 2024 Responsible Business report are shown in three key pillars: Think People, Think Community, and Think Planet. 

Think People: 

As a people business, Radisson Hotel Group focuses on team member development, wellbeing, leadership diversity, and inclusivity. All these efforts combined, contributed to the Group’s recognition as a leader in fostering a supportive and equitable work environment within the hospitality industry. As a global family, Radisson Hotel Group also shows its care through the newly launched Radisson People Foundation to provide relief support to team members during challenging times. Additional key Think People highlights include: 

  • 30% women in leadership positions 

  • 236 hotels certified by Safehotels 

  • 571K trainings completed by team members

Think Community:

Radisson Hotel Group made substantial progress in community engagement through its volunteer efforts, fundraising campaigns, clean water initiatives and financial contributions to local and global partners, including SOS Children’s Villages and Just a Drop, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to community impact. Additional key Think Community highlights include:  

  • 57,200 hours of volunteering 

  • 9.4M Radisson Rewards points donated to charity partners 

  • 21st Action Month for Planet and Community

Think Planet: 

Radisson Hotel Group has achieved measurable reductions in emissions, water usage, and waste through investments in carbon offset programs and significant focus on resource efficiency and renewable energy adoption. Additional key Think Planet highlights and results from 2024 include: 

  • 33% reduction of carbon emissions per square meter vs 2019 and 21% reduction of energy footprint per occupied room vs 2019 

  • Under signature global programs such as 100% Carbon Compensated meetings, the Group has invested in 115,000 tons of voluntary carbon credits since 2019 

  • 95 hotels use 100% renewable electricity, an increase of 20% compared to 2019 

  • 1,432 EV chargers available across 204 hotels 

Sustainable Stays Pathway 

The Group’s Sustainable Stays program demonstrates its guest centric approach to addressing global challenges and advancing long-term goals through third-party verification and certification, which is important to inform stakeholders and build trust.   

In Radisson Hotel Group’s drive to promote responsible tourism and satisfy the demand for sustainable stays, 58% of the Group’s hotel portfolio is now verified under the Hotel Sustainability Basics or holds a third-party certified eco-label.
