InterContinental Hotels & Resorts’ global brand evolution embraces modernity, diversity and the desire for meaningful experiences, ensuring that guests can continue to explore the world while feeling right at home.
Igee Okafor, Editor-In-Chief of BOND OFFICIAL said: “I am thrilled to partner with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. Unique cultural perspectives influence my style vocabulary and like InterContinental, I believe travel can expand the mind. In my home city of New York, culture is based on embracing diversity in every way, something I’ve experienced firsthand through the remarkable range of properties I’ve visited with InterContinental. The repurposing of golden age train carriages in Khao Yai and swimming with Manta rays and marine life in the Maldives standout for me, yet there is still so much more to be discovered.”
From modern epicentres and historic buildings to immersive resorts and stays that tell a story, each InterContinental property is individual. Igee is fronting in a cinematic content series illustrating InterContinental’s rich cultural knowledge and insider expertise. The series captures Igee’s experiences in four distinctly different properties across four continents.
In each film, Igee partners with the InterContinental Concierge to share ‘in-the-know’ recommendations in each destination. Experiences featured include a masterclass in continental cuisine, touring monuments by moped and discovering fine Italian tailoring whilst at InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace. Igee finds tranquillity with a Thai massage in a reimagined train carriage spa and takes part in a traditional Thai monk ceremony during a stay at InterContinental Khao Yai Resort. Whilst at InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort, Igee dives into an ocean wonderland to swim with Manta rays and learns the art of champagne Sabrage. Drawing the series to a close, Igee checks into the tallest building west of Mississippi InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, where he showcases landmarks of the City of Angels found on his doorstep.
Igee Okafor, age 29, is Founder and Editor-in-Chief of BOND OFFICIAL – an editorial platform for smart and ultramodern minds, and shares InterContinental’s appreciation of travel and the cultured state of mind it brings.
