IHG Hotels & Resorts continues to grow its roster of partnerships across the globe, today announcing a new partnership with leading German football club, RB Leipzig, to become the Official Partner for the club during the 2023 – 2024 season.
The multifaceted partnership includes the IHG logo on the sleeves of RB Leipzig’s jerseys in the UEFA Champions League and DFB Pokal games and across digital perimeter display boards at the Red Bull Arena for the forthcoming Bundesliga season.
RB Leipzig joins a roster of sporting partners globally including Major League Soccer (‘MLS’) in the US, European Professional Club Rugby (‘EPCR’) and the United States Tennis Association (‘USTA’). These partnerships help connect travellers and IHG One Rewards members to their favourite sports through bespoke offerings and benefits.
To mark the start of this new partnership, the IHG & Resorts logo will debut on the arms of RB Leipzig jersey sleeves for the German DFL-Supercup match between FC Bayern and RB Leipzig, to be played on Saturday 12th August at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
With 95* IHG hotels open across Germany with a further 16* in the pipeline for opening, travelling football fans will have plenty of options when deciding where to stay as they follow the progress of RB Leipzig through DFB Pokal away games. With more European adventures for fans as RB Leipzig kicks off its Champions League campaign in September, IHG invites football fans to stay at any of its 777* open hotels and 35* in the pipeline to open in Europe this season, as part of its portfolio of 6,000+ hotels and 18 brands globally.
