HIP2018 turns Madrid into the European Horeca capital

  • With more than 300 participating firms, HIP doubles its exhibition space occupying nearly 30,000 m2 in two IFEMA pavilions and consolidates itself as an Horeca platform.

For second year in a row, the Hospitality Innovation Planet (HIP) fair will bring together entrepreneurs and hotel and restaurant managers in Madrid with the aim of sharing the latest trends and innovations in the sector. From February 19 to 21, HIP will have two pavilions at IFEMA, around 30,000 m2, which consolidate it as a reference event for the Horeca channel. More than 300 companies have already confirmed their participation as exhibitors, and companies such as Booking, Campofr’o, Coca-Cola, Coperama, El Tenedor, Europastry, Calidad Pascual, Schweppes and Unilever Food Solutions will contribute to the contents of the congress.

The rate of accreditations exceeds the 32% registered in relation to the same dates of the previous year. ÒAfter the good results of HIP2017, this year we’re expecting to exceed the 12,900 professional visitors of the last edition, at the most important time of the year when everyone is starting better and preparing the tourist seasonÓ, says Manuel Bueno, director of HIP.

According to Eduardo-L—pez Puertas, Director of IFEMA, ÒHIP will play an essential role in the transformation process of the catering sector, as a key to identify the needs and set up a strategy that allows professionals to get closer to the latest innovations in solutions, equipment and products, as well as the new business models for hotels, restaurants and bars.Ó

Hospitality 4.0 Congress, the most disruptive appointment for professionals

Within the framework of HIP, Hospitality 4.0 Congress will be held; the largest international congress on innovation and transformation of the sector, with its own agenda and vertical solutions for each professional profile (general management, marketing, sales, purchases, operations, chefs, F&B…), as well as a unique content of high strategic value. “This year, the congress will have 8 stages, 6 keynotes, 8 summits and 250 international speakers,” explains Eva Ballar’n, director of the congress program. “Some of the most prominent speakers are Anne Boysen, strategy consultant and expert on consumer and generational trends; Larry Mogelonsky, owner of Hotel Mogel Consulting Limited and founder of LMA Communications; Donald Burns, founder of The Restaurant CoachTM University, Restaurant Social + and Chef Branding AcademyTM; and the chef and owner of DSTAgE, Diego Guerrero. ”
This new edition of the Hospitality 4.0 Congress will welcome more than 300 national and international speakers in sessions of revenue, customer experience and neuromarketing, marketing, strategy, new business models, digital transformation, management or sustainability and efficiency. In addition, the congress will have 4 auditoriums in the exhibition zone with shows and interactive areas.

Bar & Co: the official afterwork space of HIP, dedicated to the cocktail world. Hector Henche will drive all the activities related to the world of the bar inside HIP. The innovation of the concept, the profitability of the business and the trends of the sector will be the three axes on which the contents of this space will revolve.

Digital Theatre: a space dedicated to techno-digital innovation in the hands of Diego Coquillat. It is the most innovative HIP space with 17 workshops on how to digitize management, marketing, experience and business with the best solutions.

Food & Restaurant Theatre: a space dedicated to knowledge, where professional training and new proposals of the food industry merge. This will be possible due to 3 seminars for the management F&B which will be taught by teachers of GastroUni, as well as long tables on products of trend and new generation.

Equipment & Design Theatre: a space designed to discover the best interior design, the integration of the same with the customer experience and the most innovative equipment for kitchens (Smart Kitchen), rooms and hotels.

Main news of HIP2018

As the leading release, this year stands out the celebration of Hotel Trends 2018. It will be held on February 20 and Will bring together the Game Changers of the sector to discuss, from the perspective of innovation, the transformation and new disruptive management models, the future of hospitality and tourism.

Likewise, Hospitality 4.0 Congress will host the 9th edition of Restaurant Trends by Marcas de Restauraci—n, the largest national forum for organized restoration and Barra de Ideas, a meeting for hotel professionals who are seeking for ideas and innovations for their business.
