Tucked away in the heart of the five-star hotel, Sauce’s top of the range kitchen is the place in which trade secrets will be shared and the best ingredients will be prepared. Experiences inspired by all of The Langham’s renowned outlets including Palm Court, Artesian, Roux at The Landau, and The Wigmore will be offered, alongside classes led by executive chef, Chris King and Michel Roux Jr who will share and explore the delights of cooking (and eating!)

Whether it’s a desire to master the basics or pick the brains of a favourite chef, Sauce has a range of classes to cater for all.

“We have some of the most innovative and dynamic minds here within The Langham’s restaurants and bars, which makes our jobs engaging and exciting. We wanted to find a way to celebrate the talent of the team and Sauce by The Langham is a natural evolution of this idea – a place where we can share our trade secrets.” – Bob van den Oord, Managing Director of The Langham, London.

There are a variety of classes to choose from, ideal for a day out with friends, a gift, or an enriching class to spoil oneself, all of which will provide lasting skills to help attendees to become confident and capable cooks. Enrol in one of Sauce’s five building block classes to master core skills, for example, sharpen knife skills, become a brilliant baker, or stir up superb sauces. Or for those who want to take it up a notch, premium classes explore the more complex kitchen techniques. Grasp the opportunity to perfect your pâtisserie skills with The Langham’s executive pastry chef, Andrew Gravett; learn how The Wigmore delivers posh pub classics; or explore the Roux archive with Chris King in his Cook the Books class.

“The facilities for the new cookery school are exceptional.  We’re going to have a perfect environment to share our passion for good food with like-minded home cooks at whatever their skill level.  Cooking should be first and foremost enjoyable, and we’re looking forward to providing a real confidence boost so that everyone can be proud of what they achieve.” – Michel Roux Jr

The cookery school is designed with the welcome and warmth of a farmhouse kitchen in mind. A homely, yet elegant space set to be the envy of any home cook, (or chef). Amongst premium ingredients, guests will be working with some of the best equipment from Samsung, Kenwood, Global, and De Buyer.

“Sauce is a great opportunity for our brigade to share their passion for good food and show their love for our industry. I’m fortunate at The Langham, London to work with some very talented and energetic chefs who have so much to teach; every class will be packed full of learning, with a pinch of fun!” – Chris King

Classes start at £150 and host up to 12 people per session, allowing plenty of time for new delicious food memories, connecting with others, and someone on one time with Sauce’s chefs.
