Paul Boldy named Managing Director at RLA Global Middle East

Paul Boldy RLA GlobalRLA Global announces the appointment of Paul Boldy to the role of Managing Director of RLA Global, Middle East.

The experience led hospitality advisory group has previously worked on several projects across the region over the past years and with the post-pandemic recovery in sight and further assignments in the Middle East scheduled, the opportunity was timely to expand the team and appoint an esteemed leader to manage the business and drive the growth.

Commenting on his appointment, Boldy said: “I am thrilled to be leading the RLA Global business for this region at such a significant point in time. It is fascinating to work in such a creative environment and to influence the way we shape projects to deliver our clients ambitions.”

Boldy founded BoldConsult in 2015, providing feasibility and advisory services to hospitality, retail and commercial sectors. He has also held roles at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and the  Jumeirah Group, all based in the UAE, giving him an in-depth understanding of the region as well as the sector. Boldy is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and has extensive expertise in construction, design, and architecture, with “a passion for problem solving and metric analysis”. Boldy has been based in Dubai for the past 17 years and will headquarter RLA Global Middle East from the emirate where he has seen the hospitality sector grow to be a global player.

Commenting on the market Boldy said: “Dubai became the benchmark for the region and holds an enviable position with sustained occupancy. As economies move away from reliance on oil, tourism and hospitality form an ever-increasing contribution to the region’s GDP.  Visionary leadership has meant that innovation and strategic growth have become the watchwords of the Middle East, with iconic projects and developments now inspiring the rest of the world.”

RLA Global has been building its profile in the Middle East and was recently congratulated for its “high level of expertise” and “excellent professional approach” in relation to work on the award-winning Messilah Beach leisure development in Kuwait. RLA Global was engaged by the Kuwait Government Tourism entity Touristic Enterprises Company in 2018 to conceptualise the project and develop the strategic and financial planning to ensure its viability and sustainability. The project was named best mixed-use architecture Africa & Middle East at the International Property Awards 2020-2021.
