The Alfond Inn, a boutique hotel in historic Winter Park owned by Rollins College, has appointed Victor Quintero as director of operations. A hospitality veteran with more than 25 years of experience leading rooms, housekeeping, and guest service teams at luxury resorts across Florida, Quintero will oversee day-to-day hotel operations, including the front office, housekeeping, and guest services.
“Great hotels are run by committed teams. Victor is an exceptional leader, who has hired, trained, and mentored hundreds of hospitality professionals across several leading hotels in the region,” said Michael Briggs, managing director of The Alfond Inn at Rollins. “His focus on service standards and leadership style brings a standard of excellence that our team and guests will feel right away.”
Quintero joins The Alfond Inn at Rollins from Naples Grande Beach Resort, where he oversaw the rooms division and spa for the 474-room resort and led a team of more than 150 associates as director of rooms operations. During his tenure, he improved guest satisfaction scores year over year and managed large-scale room restoration projects. Previously, he was part of the opening executive team at Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences on Singer Island in Riviera Beach, Florida, where he built the rooms division from the ground up.
Before that, Quintero spent 15 years at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, first as director of housekeeping and then as director of rooms, leading more than 120 employees across the front office, bell and valet, and housekeeping departments. During his time there, he helped the resort earn Forbes Travel Guide Recommended status. His career began in Orlando, with roles at Loews Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando, Wyndham Orlando Resort and Suncadia Resort in Washington State.
“The Alfond Inn is a remarkable hotel with a story to tell, anchored by deep roots in the Winter Park community and a purpose that extends beyond its own walls to support students at Rollins College,” said Quintero. “This feels like a homecoming, as my career started here in Central Florida. I’m honored to be back and have the opportunity to work alongside this team whose commitment to hospitality, service and the guest experience truly set the hotel apart.
Quintero holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and is a Certified Rooms Division Manager (CRDM). He is fluent in English and Spanish.
