With research demonstrating 74% of women feel stressed trying to balance work and family commitments1, Club Med, the pioneer of premium all-inclusive holidays is returning with its Mumcation wellness escape. Building on the success of 2025 with a new destination and refreshed itinerary, Mumcation is designed to give mothers the time, space, and experiences they truly deserve in 2026.
From 5 to 10 November, Club Med Kani in the Maldives will host the second iteration of Mumcation, welcoming mums looking to pause, reset, and reconnect with themselves beyond the demands of caregiving, whether travelling solo or with friends. Returning for a second year in collaboration with wellness coach Tammi Kirkness, the programme will feature half-day workshops focused on holistic wellness and self-care.
Rooted in mental health and rejuvenation, Mumcation was created to give mums the time, space, and permission to prioritise themselves, so they can return home feeling refreshed, grounded, and energised.
Surrounded by pristine white sands and turquoise waters, Club Med Kani offers the ultimate escape for mums, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. From premium accommodation and all-day gourmet dining to an open bar, land and water activities, Kids Clubs, and evening entertainment, everything is included so guests can truly unwind.
On top of this all-inclusive offering, for $3,099* per person sharing, Mumcation guests will enjoy:
- Three half-day mindfulness workshops led by wellness coach Tammi Kirkness
- One 30-minute customised massage
- A 60-minute welcome cocktail to connect with the group
Julie Voultepsis, Head of Meetings and Events for Club Med Pacific said: “The idea of Mumcation came from my own experience of watching how rarely mothers truly stop. Even when they take time away, they are still organising, caring and thinking about everyone else. But when does it hit pause for them? We wanted to create something that gave mums permission to rest properly, without guilt, without expectations, and to remember who they are beyond what they do for others.
“The response to our 2025 inaugural event confirmed what we instinctively knew — modern motherhood is demanding and all-encompassing. Yet there are so few holiday options that combine relaxation with meaningful wellness experiences specifically for women.
“Bringing Mumcation back for a second year allows us to build on that success and make the experience even richer. Every detail has been designed for mums, by mums — from the wellness programming and flexibility to quiet moments, choice, and genuine connection. We can’t wait to show guests what we have in store for 2026.”
With the global wellness tourism market projected to reach $2.1 trillion by 20302, Club Med’s Mumcation reflects a broader shift toward purposeful travel, particularly among women seeking meaningful time away.
Michelle Davies, General Manager for Club Med Pacific and New ESAP Markets, said Club Med was uniquely positioned to deliver an experience like Mumcation at scale.
“At Club Med, our purpose has always been to remove the noise of everyday life, and Mumcation is a natural extension of that philosophy.
“Mumcation embodies how travel is evolving, offering an experience that goes beyond a simple escape to instead support emotional wellbeing and personal growth. Our all-inclusive model is central to this approach. Not having a plan or organise allows mum to truly switch off, creating space for genuine restoration.
“Set in the breathtaking Club Med Kani in the Maldives, Mumcation combines this freedom with an unparalleled sense of calm, beauty and seclusion – making it the perfect setting for reflection, reconnection and renewal.”
Beyond one week in the Maldives, Mumcation aims to normalise mothers taking restorative time for themselves, shifting the cultural narrative from guilt to permission. Unlike traditional wellness retreats, Mumcation offers a fully immersive, mum-centric experience with no planning required. Guests can choose to attend solo or bring their children, with Club Med’s renowned Kids Clubs available for those who want additional flexibility.
Mumcation 2026 will run from 5 to 10 November at Club Med Kani, with bookings open from 12 February until 5 November. Places are limited, so travellers are encouraged to secure their spot early and stay tuned for further announcements as the experience continues to evolve.
