Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan, a vibrant beachfront resort set to open in 2028, reinforcing the Group’s growth momentum in the Philippines as part of its wider APAC expansion strategy.

This signing further strengthens Radisson Hotel Group’s footprint in the country, which currently includes seven operating hotels and 18 hotels under development.

“We are proud to take this significant step into the hospitality industry in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group. Their global expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence align seamlessly with our vision of creating a world-class development grounded in quality, authentic hospitality, and lasting impact for Cebu and the Philippines. This project goes beyond bricks and mortar; it represents new opportunities for employment, meaningful growth within our local community, and a stronger tourism sector for our country. As the first Radisson RED Resort in Southeast Asia, we are especially honoured that this milestone begins here, in our very own shores, in Cebu,” said Mr. Richard Mercado, President, Cebu Rich Realty and Development Corporation

Ramzy Fenianos, Chief Development Officer, APAC, Radisson Hotel Group said: “The Philippines continues to stand out as a priority market for our APAC strategy, and Cebu is central to our ambition to grow in both key urban centres and standout resort destinations. Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan will bring a distinctive lifestyle hospitality experience to Mactan’s prime beachfront, while also expanding our portfolio in the country with a product designed to resonate with modern leisure travellers and groups.”

Located in Mactan, a major industrial and business hub outside Metro Manila and one of Cebu’s leading tourism islands known for its prime beaches, Radisson RED Resort Cebu Mactan will enjoy a highly accessible and visible setting. The resort site is approximately 10 km (25 minutes) from Mactan-Cebu International Airport and about 200 metres from the M.L. Quezon National Highway, offering convenient connectivity for both domestic and international travellers.

Upon opening, the property will offer 141 keys, including five suites, one Presidential Suite, and two villas, with most rooms designed to capture direct sea views.

Planned facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop bar and pool, meeting and events space, and fitness and leisure amenities, aligning with Radisson RED’s lively, design-led positioning.

Guests will also be well placed to explore some of the area’s most compelling attractions, including Olango Island and its 920-hectare wildlife sanctuary, renowned for migratory bird watching. The resort also offers easy access to popular island-hopping and marine experiences, with Nalusuan, Pandanon, Cohagan, and Hilutungan Islands typically reachable within a short boat ride. The Mactan Shrine, commemorating the historic Battle of Mactan, is another nearby landmark.

Radisson RED is Radisson Hotel Group’s upscale lifestyle brand, created for travellers who want design, energy, and a more social way to stay. Bold interiors, playful touches, and music-led, community-style public spaces are at the heart of the experience, with bars and lounges designed to feel like local hangouts rather than traditional hotel lobbies.
