
The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael “Mike” Hodgins as the resort’s new Golf General Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the resort’s historic Vinoy Golf Club as it enters its centennial year.
In this role, Hodgins will oversee all day-to-day operations of the Vinoy Golf Club, with a focus on enhancing the member and guest experience, elevating group and tournament play, and continuing to position The Vinoy as one of Florida’s most storied golf destinations.
Hodgins brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in hospitality and luxury golf operations, including a distinguished 24-year career with Marriott International. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Golf at JW Marriott Camelback Golf Club, Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he led a highly regarded 36-hole operation in one of the nation’s most competitive golf markets.
During his tenure, Hodgins oversaw multimillion-dollar budgets, drove strong profitability, and successfully repositioned the club to better serve resort guests, members and group business. His leadership has earned consistent industry recognition, including Marriott Golf Professional of the Year and multiple Marriott Golf Property of the Year honors.
Hodgins’ appointment supports The Vinoy’s broader centennial focus on thoughtful evolution—honoring tradition while investing in elevated experiences across the resort, including golf, meetings, and leisure travel.
