Le Sereno St. Barths announces the appointment of Carlos de la Barra as its new General Manager. With more than two decades of experience across leading luxury hotels, Carlos has held senior roles with internationally recognised brands including Atlantis the Palm Dubai, The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, The Resort at Pedregal, now a Waldorf Astoria Property, One & Only Palmillan and Rosewood Villa Magna.
A graduate of Les Roches Hotel Management School in Switzerland, Carlos has worked throughout Asia, Europe and Mexico. His background reflects a deep understanding of luxury environments shaped by design, a clear focus on service culture and experience within properties known for their architectural identity and refined guest experience.
At Le Sereno, Carlos will oversee operations and support the continued development of the hotel’s luxury standards in alignment with Sereno Hotels’ philosophy. The group is known for its intimate, design-led properties, including Il Sereno Lago di Como and Villa Pliniana, and for an approach that balances architectural precision with an elegant, contemporary style of hospitality. Carlos will contribute to this direction while maintaining the personalised, discreet service for which Le Sereno is recognised.
Carlos joins Le Sereno at the beginning of the 2025-2026 season.
