Terranea Resort – a luxury 582-room oceanfront resort on the Palos Verdes Peninsula – has announced the addition of two professionals to its executive team: Louis Gonzalez as its new director of sales and Ador Bustamante as the new director of revenue.
Both Gonzalez and Bustamante will play pivotal roles in the strategic growth of Terranea, a 102-acre retreat known for its world-class accommodations, gracious service and immersive experiences. Gonzalez is charged with developing, overseeing and coordinating all sales initiatives for the acclaimed Mediterranean-style resort while Bustamante will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, finance and hotel operations teams to analyze market trends, negotiate partnerships and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue growth.
According to Ralph Grippo, president of Terranea, Gonzalez and Bustamante are seasoned hospitality industry
directors and key new additions to the resort’s executive team. “A strategic thinker known for his customer-focused sales approach, Louis has the insight, knowledge and expertise to take over the management of all aspects of revenue generation at Terranea related to the group segment – as well as focus on optimizing productivity from our sales team,” Grippo said. “Ador is a creative problem solver and also has many years of hotel industry experience, driving revenue management for multiple high-end properties over the course of his career. We are thrilled to have them both join our dynamic and growing sales and marketing team as we continue to focus on enhancing the guest experience as well as strategic growth.”
With expansive ocean views, Terranea Resort encompasses world-class accommodations, The Links at Terranea, an award-winning spa, eight dining venues, an Experience Concierge – a one-stop-shop for exciting and unique adventures – and over 135,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor multifunctional spaces in a majestic oceanfront setting. Offering the capacity to host events for up to 1,500 guests, Terranea is a top meeting and event destination with a plush 18,000-square-foot grand ballroom, a second expansive ballroom with bay windows, 33 meeting rooms, executive board rooms and hospitality suites overlooking the vivid blues of the Pacific Ocean. Lush gardens and manicured oceanfront lawns complete the wide-ranging event offerings.
With 30 years of hospitality industry experience and a track record of exceeding sales goals and profit targets, Gonzalez was most recently with the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, a luxury resort he joined as director of national accounts, working his way up the company ranks to executive director of group sales. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he has earned multiple kudos for his sales successes, including the Gold Standard Leader award at the Fontainebleau for 2020.
Bustamante has worked in the hotel industry for nearly 30 years, most recently as director of revenue and distribution for KSL Resorts’ six boutique properties on California’s central coast. He has held similar position for Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, Loews Hollywood Hotel, Claremont Hotel & Spa and Omni Hotels and Resorts among others.
