Gulf Hotels Group (GHG) has appointed Miguel Duarte Silva as corporate director of F&B operations.
With a career spanning Europe and the Middle East, Duarte Silva has held pivotal roles at properties such as Grosvenor House Dubai, A Luxury Collection Hotel and Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria.
Most recently, he served as the corporate director of F&B for Rotana Hotels, where he oversaw F&B operations across all 72 hotels in GCC, Levante, and Africa.
During his tenure at Rotana Hotels, Duarte Silva spearheaded initiatives like organising the company’s inaugural F&B conference and hosting the official cocktail reception for the Future Hospitality Summit 2023. He also implemented a comprehensive beverage program across EMEA, introducing premium non-alcoholic menus across 40 properties.
In his new role at GHG, Duarte Silva will concentrate on shaping F&B strategies, enriching guest experiences with top-tier service and products, and innovating dining concepts for the group’s existing restaurants and upcoming projects in Bahrain and globally. This encompasses introducing new venues in Block 338, expanding the group’s brands into new locations, and venturing into the Catering division in Saudi Arabia.
