Coast Hotels Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of APA Hotel Canada, Inc. and one of North America’s fastest-growing and one of Canada’s largest hotel brands, is pleased to announce the addition of two new franchise properties in historic and vibrant downtown Dawson City, Yukon. The introduction of Eldorado, a Coast Hotel, and Midnight Sun, a Coast Hotel, marks a significant milestone in Coast Hotels commitment to providing exceptional accommodations in unique and culturally rich destinations.

Eldorado, a Coast Hotel, pays homage to the rich mining history of Dawson City, taking inspiration from the iconic Eldorado Gold Mine. The hotel embraces a blend of affordable comfort and historic charm, offering guests an immersive experience that reflects the essence of the region. With spacious suites and well-appointed rooms, essential amenities, personalized service, and an on-site restaurant and a lounge, Eldorado, a Coast Hotel promises a memorable stay for both business and leisure travelers.

Midnight Sun, a Coast Hotel, draws inspiration from the awe-inspiring natural phenomenon of the Yukon’s perpetual daylight during the summer months. Anchored in the allure of Yukon’s rich past, this iconic 19-room boutique hotel, open seasonally from May to September, seamlessly weaves together the charm of a bygone era with contemporary hospitality. Visitors are greeted by an atmosphere that effortlessly balances authenticity and luxury, with a variety of room options, each meticulously designed to offer a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities. For those seeking relaxation, guests can unwind and share stories of their Yukon adventures in the Midnight Sun Lounge, serving an extensive carefully crafted cocktail menu and great light bites.

“We are excited to continue our long partnership with Coast Hotels and to expand this relationship to two additional hotels in Dawson City,” said Michael Hale, CEO of NVD. “Our pride in our downtown assets is amplified by the fact that we co-own these assets with the Tr’ondek Hwech’in investment trust. Our goal is to continue to grow Dawson City, as a destination, and we believe a partnership with Coast Hotels is the best way to make that happen.”

Both properties are strategically located to provide easy access to Dawson City’s key attractions, including the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park, Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall, and the enchanting Yukon River. Complimentary airport shuttle services add an extra layer of convenience, allowing guests to arrive and depart with ease.
