One of Mexico’s leading luxury resorts, Andaz Mayakoba, is pleased to announce the appointment of César Moreno as its new
General Manager. In his new role, Moreno will manage every aspect of the resort, from larger-scale initiatives to day-to-day operations, including the 214 guestrooms and suites, Naum Wellness & Spa, four distinct restaurants, and leading event spaces. In this new post, César will use his ambitious work ethic and hands-on approach to leadership to drive the resort’s strong team to further success within the luxury hospitality sphere and provide an outstanding guest experience.
César has held General Manager roles with the Hyatt brand for over 20 years, most recently serving as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Andares Guadalajara, which he oversaw the successful launch of in 2016. During his time there, Moreno successfully positioned the hotel as the market leader in the region, through the implementation of an extremely effective room and event space operation. Through César’s drive and management, he established the hotel as the place to be in Guadalajara and the Andares for leisure, business, and events alike.
As a competitive and strategic leader, Moreno has a unique understanding of all aspects of the business, having held previous positions in his impressive career including F&B Director at Hyatt Regency in Cancun and at the Marriott St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. From here, he amassed a wealth of experience with the inner workings of hotel spaces and services. However, his drive and interest pushed him further, into the sales & marketing function of the properties, leading to his appointment to a number of highly successful General Manager positions.
Moreno champions the Hyatt principle of caring for others in order for them to become their best, and it is this inspiring and motivational approach that he will bring to Andaz Mayakoba.
