Hyatt’s transformative growth continues: More markets, More segments, More opportunities

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the completed acquisition of London-based Mr & Mrs Smith, a global travel platform that provides direct booking access to a carefully curated collection of more than 1,500 boutique and luxury properties. With this addition to the portfolio, World of Hyatt members will soon have even more rewarding stays and experiences to choose from, including more than 20 new countries for Hyatt such as Fiji, Croatia, Iceland and Anguilla. Hyatt acquired 100 percent of the asset-light Mr & Mrs Smith platform for an enterprise value of £53.0 million in cash consideration. The purchase price represents an attractive acquisition multiple in the high-single digits on projected stabilized earnings.

Hyatt’s growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa bolsters position as a global leader in luxury

Hyatt Hotels Corporation today shared that 45 percent of the properties that joined Hyatt’s system in 2022 were based in EAME markets and the region’s contribution to the Hyatt growth journey continues into 2023 through a strong pipeline with ten percent of Hyatt’s 117,000 rooms record pipeline, as of fourth-quarter earnings, expected to join the portfolio in EAME markets. Properties classified as lifestyle hotels make up nearly one-fourth of the EAME pipeline, expanding the portfolio to more sought-after leisure destinations and strengthening the World of Hyatt value proposition.

Hyatt completes dream hotel group acquisition

Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced the completion of the Dream Hotel Group lifestyle hotel brand and management platform acquisition, bringing a vibrant portfolio of lifestyle hotel brands – including Dream Hotels, The Chatwal and Unscripted Hotels – into the Hyatt portfolio. The asset-light acquisition includes 12 lifestyle hotels (nine managed and three licensed), with another 24 signed long-term management agreements for hotels expected to open in the future.
