Hyatt names Kathy Krenger Vice President Ð Global Communications
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced Kathy Krenger as Vice President of Global Communications, effective May 15. Ms Krenger will be responsible for Hyatt’s communications strategy and media relations, along with internal and brand communications. She will report to Maryam Banikarim, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer.
Hyatt to double presence in the Middle East with signing of 14 management agreements for Hyatt-branded hotels
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to expand HyattÕs brand footprint in the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with the signing of management agreements by a Hyatt affiliate for 14 Hyatt-branded hotels across the Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt House brands. There are currently 14 Hyatt-branded hotels open in the Middle East and GCC, and the expected openings of these 14 Hyatt-branded hotels would double HyattÕs brand presence in the region.Ê
Hyatt Regency Chicago appoints Matt Schalk as Hotel Manager
Hyatt Regency Chicago has announced the appointment of Matt Schalk as Hotel Manager, effective immediately. HeÕs held various roles within the Hyatt family and brings over 25 years of industry experience to the position. Mr Schalk was most recently with Hyatt Hotels Corporation serving as the Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the West Region.
Hyatt enters agreement with Sogo Development for Hyatt Place Tokyo Bay to open in 2019
Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Tokyo Bay Resort Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sogo Development Co., Ltd. for a Hyatt Place hotel near Tokyo Disney Resort in Chiba, Japan. Upon its expected opening in 2019, Hyatt Place Tokyo Bay will be the countryÕs first Hyatt Place hotel.Ê

In agreement with Societe dÕInvestissement Hoteliere, Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that a hotelÊwill be builtÊat Houari Boumediene Airport in Algeria,Êand willÊbe the first Hyatt-branded hotel in the nation. Hyatt also announced an agreement with Hospitality Management Chantilly for a Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chantilly, France.
