UNWTO has concluded the Gastronomy Tourism Project, designed to make Ubud, Indonesia. Within the framework of Indonesia’s annual Tourism National Coordinative Meeting, the project’s final report was presented to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, and to the Gianyar Regional Government.

The World Tourism Organization, the Japan Travel and Tourism Association, and Gurunavi have released the new UNWTO Report on Gastronomy Tourism: The Case of Japan. The publication includes 18 different case studies of successful gastronomy tourism in Japan.
Job creation and entrepreneurship take centre stage at UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism
The Director of the Basque Culinary Center, Mr. Joxe Mari Aizega, underscored the importance of adequately training professionals and developing the necessary skills, as well as attracting and retaining talent. This is a key challenge, considering that “gastronomy has become a strategic sector for many countries, contributing to the generation of wealth and employment, creating value along all its levels, and promoting countries and destinations”.
