Avvio celebrates September successes

Global technology provider Avvio announces a series of successes following an impressive September, including award wins and a growing hotel customer list.

The now multi award-winning solutions provider has continued building strong partnerships with high-profile customers on an international scale.

A testament to Avvio’s growth is Ice House Hotel and Spa, a member of Ireland’s Blue Book – the leading collection of Irish hotels and country houses. Avvio’s in-house design team and digital marketing experts created and optimised a stunning new website, mirroring the hotel’s superb location and amazing architecture.

This September, Ice House Hotel received the award for Ireland’s Best Hotel Website in the Hotel and Catering Review Gold Medal Awards, demonstrating the positive partnership with Avvio.

Other Avvio customers who took home a trophy from this year’s Gold Medal Awards included Adare Manor, named as Ireland’s Five Star Hotel as well as the 2018 Supreme Winner, and Ireland’s Favourite Place to Stay was Castle Leslie Estate. This was on top of wins from the likes of Limerick Strand Hotel, Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa, Newpark Hotel, Ashford Castle and Dromoland Castle.

In September, Avvio was also appointed to manage the digital development for the prestigious launch of Grand Central Hotel in Belfast, part of the Hastings Hotels Group and the largest and most expensively constructed hotel project ever seen in Northern Ireland.

The team was tasked with raising brand awareness online and driving direct bookings. The result was a fully optimised, vibrant and contemporary website, supporting the ethos of the hotel, as well as boosting guest engagement and complementing its modern simplicity and style.

Hannah Corbett, group digital strategist at Hastings Hotels, said: “Since we’ve started working with Avvio, our online presence has really started to develop and grow. We feel confident that the team at Avvio believe in the ethos of Grand Central and wider Hastings Hotels Group, ensuring we have everything in place to drive online bookings through our website.

“We’re continuing to work closely with the team at Avvio to achieve our goals and objectives, building our brand awareness online and drive bookings across the group.”

Avvio also celebrated some impressive results in September following its inaugural year of partnering with Auchrannie Resort on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Since becoming partners in the autumn of 2017 and switching to Avvio’s booking engine Allora, the hotel has seen its direct bookings increase by 70%.

Having worked with Avvio to grow its digital presence and improve its website design, Auchrannie has also seen remarkable online growth and a huge increase in upsells. As a result, the resort is expanding its partnership with Avvio and has tasked the innovative solutions provider with developing tailored digital marketing campaigns.

Another new customer is the luxury Forbes 5 Star Faena Hotel Miami Beach and, in September, the strength and potential of this exciting new partnership became clear.

Rachel Hofer, director of revenue management at Faena Hotel, said: “We wanted to ensure our new booking engine would uphold a luxurious experience while maximising revenue and creating an enjoyable booking path for the consumer.

“We have already seen a significant uplift in direct online revenue, and with the partnership we have created with our Avvio e-commerce manager, we are excited to continue to watch this channel grow.”

Adding to the successful month, Avvio was named a finalist at the Google Premier Partner Awards; only two per cent of agencies within the EMEA region reach the finals. The shortlisting reflects the globally recognised video campaigns and online strategies that have been developed with the Killarney Park Hotel.

Frank Reeves, co-founder and CEO of Avvio, commented: “September was an impressive month for Avvio and we’re thrilled with the results that are coming from the strong relationships we are building with our customers.

“Next month we’re attending the Travolution Awards where we’re shortlisted for three awards. It’s great recognition of the work the team is achieving in creating innovative technology and supporting each of our customers.

“We hope the trend continues for the rest of the year and we’re looking forward to what 2019 has to bring!”
