La Vie Hotels & Resorts has reached another significant milestone with its appointment as the hotel management company for the future landmark development that will be home to The Westin Gold Coast Hotel, further strengthening the company’s growing portfolio of premium hospitality destinations across Australia.
Developed under a franchise agreement with Australian-based M Property for The Westin Gold Coast, which is anticipated to mark the brand’s entry to the Gold Coast. Expected to feature 138-keys, the new-build hotel is slated to open in late 2029.
“Being appointed to manage Westin Gold Coast is a proud milestone for La Vie Hotels & Resorts and a strong endorsement of the platform we have built across the Asia-Pacific region,” said Jerry Xu, Chief Executive Officer, La Vie Hotels & Resorts.
“We have tremendous respect for the vision that M Property team have brought to this development, and we are honoured in the trust they have placed for La Vie to bring that vision to life. This landmark signing with Marriott International reflects the quality of the project and the continued growth of La Vie as a leading independent Hotel Management platform. Together with our partners, we look forward to delivering a world-class hotel experience and setting a new benchmark for hospitality on the Gold Coast,” he added.
“The Westin Gold Coast represents a natural fit between brand and location, and we already see strong performance across our existing Westin portfolio, both in key domestic and international source markets for the Gold Coast. We are excited to welcome Westin to the Gold Coast and introduce a genuine point of difference to the market,” said Tristan Cooper, Marriott International’s Director of Hotel Development, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific.
The hotel is anticipated to occupy levels 6 to 25 of the new-build mixed-use development, with 115 premium guest rooms and 23 suites offering sweeping views across the Pacific Ocean or Gold Coast hinterland. Guests will enjoy convenient access to explore the Gold Coast, with key transport connections just steps away.
The hotel, when operated by La Vie Hotels & Resorts, is set to deliver Westin’s globally recognised wellness-focused hospitality experience to one of Australia’s most iconic coastal destinations.
