Sinaia is one of Romania’s oldest and most famous mountain resorts, offering a unique blend of nature, culture, and adventure. Located in the Prahova Valley, the destination is known for its alpine landscape, rich heritage, and year-round tourism appeal. Among its best-known landmarks are Peleș Castle, Pelișor Castle, Sinaia Monastery, and the Casino Sinaia, a former casino turned international conference center. The town also hosts cultural events, such as the annual Sinaia Forever Festival, and remains closely associated with composer George Enescu.

The area is equally attractive for outdoor enthusiasts. In winter, Sinaia is a leading destination for snow sports, with nearly 20 kilometers of slopes and 12 lifts serving skiers and snowboarders of all levels. In the warmer months, the region becomes a hub for hiking, mountain biking, and nature-led escapes.

With strong accessibility from both Bucharest and Brașov, Sinaia continues to grow as a domestic and international leisure destination. The town is located approximately 138 kilometers from Bucharest and 58 kilometers from Brașov and is easily reached via the main national road and rail connections.

David Jenkins, Vice President, Business Development, Eastern Europe, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “What makes this project especially compelling is the combination of destination, positioning, and partnership. Sinaia is already well established on Romania’s tourism map, and COTA 1400 gives this hotel a setting that immediately sets it

apart. Just as important, this signing marks our first collaboration with Premier Hospitality, a partner that shares our long-term vision for quality hospitality in the market. For Radisson Hotel Group, it reflects the kind of growth we are focused on: in distinctive destinations, with the right product, and with partners who understand the local opportunity.”

Calin Ile, Senior Partner at Premier Hospitality, commented: “This spectacular new project represents, for Premier Hospitality, a reaffirmation of our position as a trusted independent hotel operator, recognized and certified by major international chains. The Radisson Blu Cota 1400 Sinaia Hotel is a perfect combination of a top-tier investment in an exceptional location, under a successful brand with professional management—elements that are sure to provide the highest level of service for the most discerning travelers.”

“Projects like Radisson Blu Cota 1400 Sinaia Hotel require more than just a brand or an operator; they require alignment. Our focus was to build the right combination of partners and positioning to unlock the full potential of the asset. Bringing together Premier Hospitality and Radisson Blu was a deliberate choice, grounded in long-term performance and market relevance,” adds Catalina Rosu, Managing Partner at Win Advisors.

With this latest signing, Radisson Hotel Group continues to strengthen its portfolio in Romania and reinforce its ambition to grow in sought-after resort and urban destinations across the region.
