This certification confirms that The Thinnai Jaffna, always upholds the highest operational standards, including diligent hygiene practices as outlined by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
Janitha C. Madawala, The Cluster General Manager of The Thinnai Group, said that “This transparent and critical step is an absolute necessity we believe, to make sure that every holiday maker continues to enjoy the best of what our beautiful island nation has to offer. And the new employee safety culture at The Thinnai Hotel is centered on training, and safety is not just delineated by physical protection, but by offering financial assistance to workers as well.“
Further he said “The Thinnai Group of Hotels holds mandatory trainings in which all employees are paid to attend. They are taught how to use their personal protective equipment (PPE), how to correctly wash hands, and how to use new cleaning equipment. They also learn about the new guidelines in place for social distancing and what to do in case of an emergency, like if a guest or employee falls sick. This is not a one-and-done training program. Refresher trainings will be continued with no end in sight.”
