“We want to share our most heartfelt mahalo to the many loyal guests in our extended ohana who have reached out to us this past year,” said Laura Richards, General Manager, Hanalei Colony Resort. “We have spent months serving as a vital community hub, as well as restoring the property. As we prepare to celebrate our 50th year as the gateway to the Na Pali Coast, we are especially excited to open a select number of rooms for guests starting just in time for the upcoming Christmas holiday,” she continued.

Hanalei Colony Resort encourages all to travel responsibly and sign the Aloha Pledge at https://alohapledge.com/. Be sure to read on to learn about the new rules of entry into Haena State Park and Kalalau Trail.

Hawaii favorites, fresh local seafood, and specially-crafted cocktails await at the highly-rated Opakapaka Grill and Bar, open for lunch and dinner. Also on the property, the Napali Art Gallery & Coffee House is open for coffee, treats and hand-crafted, locally made art.

Hanalei Day Spa offers a variety of therapeutic massages, pampering spa services, and healing Ayurvedic treatments. Our intimate spa is the ultimate way to relax over the holidays (or anytime), with private treatment rooms and an outdoor hale (hut) for beachside massages. If romance is in the air, we are also offering professionally coordinated wedding, honeymoon and vow renewal packages for couples and small groups.

North Shore Updates

Kauai’s North Shore is home to exceptional natural beauty, and several steps are being taken to help protect its resources and ensure safe and enjoyable access. A new program at Haena State Park will allow 900 daily visitors to the park, reducing overall traffic from 2,000 daily visitors.

Advance reservations are required for all vehicles, walk-in entry, and shuttle riders visiting the park, as well as for hikers accessing the Kalalau Trail. Reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance, and no later than the day before your visit. Visit www.gohaena.com for more information and reservations.

In addition, the Kauai North Shore Shuttle launched earlier this year. An introductory $11 roundtrip fare includes a reserved seat at an appointed time and place, as well as the ability to get on and off at all stops including Hanalei Colony Resort and Haena State Park. Visit www.kauainsshuttle.com for reservations, requirements, and schedules. Hanalei Colony Resort will also continue to offer its free resort shuttle to guests.
