Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality powerhouse with nearly 9,000 hotels in more than 80 countries, has announced the upcoming opening of Wyndham Grand Tbilisi, in a prime location in the heart of Georgia’s capital. The hotel is expected to open in January 2019 and will be managed by McInerney Hospitality International Georgia.
Wyndham Grand is an ensemble of distinguished hotels that are approachable by design, representing one-of-a-kind experiences with refined accommodation, attentive service and relaxed surroundings. The opening of Wyndham Grand Tbilisi adds to other top destinations around the world where the brand can be found including Athens, Istanbul, Manama, Chicago and Shanghai, among others.
Wyndham Grand Tbilisi will be located centrally on Freedom Square, adjacent to the National Museum of Georgia and close to a host of other important attractions in the city. A stone’s throw from the popular Rustaveli Avenue, the hotel will be surrounded by cafes, restaurants and some of the country’s best shopping districts, making it the perfect stop to experience Tbilisi’s charming lifestyle and cultural scene.
Set across eight floors, the hotel has been designed by renowned Georgian architect Paata Jgarkava and will include 161 stylish guest rooms and suites, including a presidential suite. Other amenities will include a spacious fitness centre and spa facilities with an indoor pool and sauna, and the elegant roof-top bar and restaurant Freedom, serving a mix of European and Georgian delicacies and a rich selection of cocktails, with stunning vistas of the city. Wyndham Grand Tbilisi will also feature state-of-the-art business facilities, including modern meetings rooms with simultaneous translation equipment, as well as an expansive ballroom for larger events.
Wyndham Grand Tbilisi is the latest addition to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ footprint in Georgia, including Ramada Encore Tbilisi opened earlier this year and Wyndham Batumi, with plans to add four more hotels in the next three years.
