Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Port de S—ller opening in June

Set amidst the orange groves of the S—ller Valley and framed by the Tramuntana Mountains, Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Port de S—ller presents a gypset-style retreat that offers a joyful blend of hedonism and laid-back Balearic living. Created by the founders of the 25hours hotel group, the hotel throws its doors open to the island’s natural splendor, bolstered by touches of luxury, freedom and privacy that make this charming spot a hideaway in every sense.

Whether from Port de S—ller’s beach and promenade Ñ just a stone’s throw away from the property Ñ or one of the terraces or balconies that accompany all 114 rooms and suites, every spot is a vantage point from which to take in this island’s unmatched landscape. Designed by Armin Fischer of Dreimeta, Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Port de S—ller’s spirited interior makes frequent nods to the original 1960s San Francisco hippie movement, with an earthy palette, and spaces that celebrate natural and organic materials while also incorporating the hotel’s endless topiary. A generously-sized pentagonal pool, complete with colorful mosaic tiling, anchors the grounds’ lush gardens and is dotted with double loungers shaded by intricately patterned parasols, in a further nod to the Californian hippie era.

At the fore of Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel are three food and drink spots that encapsulate the hotel’s wholehearted celebration of life’s small pleasures. Feeding both the body and soul is the newest outpost of Neni, a popular pan-Middle Eastern tapas restaurant led by the Molcho family, which delivers colorful Balagan-style cuisine. The bar concept is developed by Joerg Meyer Ñ inventor of the legendary Gin Basil Smash Ñ and introduces an inventive menu of cocktails created with local ingredients, and homemade lemonades from Neni at both the convivial Lynxx bar and lobby lounge, and Pikkini, the hotel’s lively pool bar with spectacular views to the Mediterranean Sea. Long nights and late mornings can be atoned in the hotel’s spa, which includes a sauna, treatment rooms, and a pool Ñ the pinnacle of relaxation in this ode to requiescence.
