
Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa is delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Winger as its new General Manager, marking a homecoming for the Queenstown local who returns to the resort town after leading some of New Zealand’s most celebrated luxury lodges.
Fiona joins Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa following a 15-year career in luxury hospitality spanning New Zealand, Fiji, the Maldives, and Australia. Her expertise includes senior leadership and general manager positions with some of the world’s most respected luxury hospitality brands, including Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Six Senses, Marriott International, Sheraton, and Westin.
Most recently, Fiona served as General Manager of Rosewood Cape Kidnappers in Hawke’s Bay, where she successfully led lodge operations, financial performance, team development, guest experience initiatives, and significant capital projects.
