Bernardus Lodge & Spa, the celebrated retreat managed by Ensemble in the heart of Carmel Valley wine country, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Duverge as General Manager.
An accomplished international hotelier with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning luxury urban hotels, destination resorts, and globally recognised hospitality brands, Duverge joins Bernardus Lodge & Spa from Hotel Nia, a sister Ensemble property. Known for his collaborative leadership style and expertise in luxury hospitality operations, he has held senior roles across the United States, Europe and the Middle East, including leadership roles across The Clift Royal Sonesta, The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Boston, Hotel Zetta, and The Marker San Francisco.
In his new role, Duverge will lead the continued evolution of Bernardus Lodge & Spa, further elevating the guest experience while building upon the property’s longstanding reputation for exceptional hospitality, culinary excellence, and immersive wine country experiences.
