
Embassy Suites by Hilton Birmingham has announced the appointment of Brandon Claypool as general manager of the newly renovated 242 room, all suite property, which blends Southern warmth with contemporary comfort.
With over 27 years of experience in hotel operations and management, Claypool has successfully led high demand markets and increased operational revenue streams in California, Hawaii, Miami, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and now Birmingham.
In his new role, he oversees the hotel’s operations, including guest services, staff management, and strategic planning. His prior experience includes serving as Task Force Complex Hotel Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose and Juniper Hotel Cupertino, Curio Collection by Hilton, as well as holding director positions at The Ritz Carlton South Beach, The Ritz Carlton St. Thomas, and Hilton Waikoloa Village, where he consistently delivered outstanding service and memorable guest experiences.
Claypool earned Cornell University’s distinguished Hospitality Management Certificate and completed Hilton’s GM Academy program, underscoring his commitment to strategic leadership and upholding the high brand standards of Hilton.
