Keswick Hall, the esteemed luxury resort nestled amidst the rolling hills of Virginia’s wine country, has appointed Louis Shapazian General Manager. With an illustrious career spanning 18 years in luxury hospitality, Shapazian steps into his role at Keswick Hall with a vision to further refine the guest experience at this award-winning Charlottesville destination.
In his new role, Shapazian will lead all operations at Keswick Hall, overseeing the resort’s celebrated amenities, including the Pete Dye-designed Full Cry golf course, 14,000 square-foot resort spa, Marigold by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Keswick’s private club. He will also play a key role in introducing new initiatives to further elevate the guest experience, ensuring Keswick Hall remains a premier destination for discerning travelers.

Shapazian has built an exceptional career, leading at some of the world’s most prestigious properties. Most recently, he served as Resort Manager at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island—a Forbes Fifteen-Star resort where he expertly directed operations across multiple luxury venues including the Ocean & Harvest Spa, extensive residence and cottage program, private club and more. Under his leadership, the resort not only surpassed key performance metrics but also reinforced its standing as a premier destination, consistently delivering outstanding guest satisfaction. Prior to his role at Ocean House, Shapazian held key positions within the Four Seasons portfolio including at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, and the Four Seasons Hotel in Vail, CO.
Shapazian studied at Johnson & Wales University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management. His journey in hospitality truly began at the Front Desk of the Boston Harbor Hotel, where he quickly demonstrated a natural talent for guest services and operations management.
