Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto by Danzante Bay, the award-winning resort located on the eastern coast of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, has appointed Rich Taylor as Director of Golf. 

In this role, Taylor will spearhead all operations at the exceptional TPC Danzante Bay, an 18-hole golf course from Rees Jones boasting some of the most striking holes in golf. Taylor will develop and maintain an exceptional experience for guests, members and staff. Key responsibilities also include golf operations, retail, business development, groups and partnerships. Taylor has been instrumental in shaping the golf offerings at TPC Danzante Bay since 2019, where he most recently served as Director of Golf Development.

Taylor brings over 30 years in the golf and resort industry with extensive experience in operations, sales and marketing, as well as new business development and strategic partnerships. He has held roles at prestigious organizations such as Pebble Beach Company, Marriott Golf and Sunriver Resort. The launch of his own golf marketing company in 2007 further emphasizes his entrepreneurial spirit, and his involvement as co-general chairman for two USGA championships and numerous NCAA and PGA events speaks volumes about his leadership and organizational adeptness. Taylor became a PGA member in 1996, and his passion for the sport is evident in his dedication to fostering memorable golfing experiences.
