Stephane Massarini appointed Cluster Managing Director at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers and Rosewood Matakauri

As Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® continues its thoughtful expansion, the brand is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephane Massarini as Managing Director of renowned New Zealand properties Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers and Rosewood Matakauri.

Stephane has been with the Rosewood family since 2021 as Resort Manager of Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth in the Caribbean’s French West Indies. Stephane brings to his new role years of experience as a leader in the luxury hospitality industry, successfully managing and leading pre-opening projects and high-end properties with renowned international brands such as St. Regis and InterContinental across the globe.

Under his leadership, the resort achieved impressive success including a remarkable service delivery score that is ranked among the top three Rosewood properties worldwide. Set across 18 acres on a private enclave of the exclusive island of St Barth, Rosewood Guanahani set the standard in superb service and warm hospitality under Stephane’s inspired and confident leadership.

Stephane’s extensive experience includes serving as General Manager at IHG InterContinental Beppu and Spa in Japan, where he showcased his leadership skills by orchestrating the pre-opening of the first InterContinental resort from the ground up, and the first onsen resort in Japan for the group, subsequently achieving several distinctions for the property.

With Stephane’s proven track record of exceptional leadership and his wealth of experience, Rosewood is thrilled to have him leading their three New Zealand properties. In his new role, Stephane will oversee all Managing Director responsibilities of Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers and Rosewood Matakauri, curating exceptional guest experiences while preserving the unique native culture of these three iconic properties.
