Radio Hotel, the first and only full-service boutique hotel in Washington Heights, announced Danielle Dymond as the new Hotel General Manager. In her role, she will serve as the strategic business leader of property operations at the 221-room hotel and be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-performing service culture and managing budgets and reputation. As former Director of Sales & Marketing at Radio Hotel, Danielle will also oversee and execute hotel marketing strategies.

Danielle began her career with Radio Hotel, a Sightline Hotel, in November 2021 as the pre-opening Director of Sales & Marketing. The property, which opened in September 2022, incorporates the unique look and feel of the neighborhood, New York City’s Little Dominican Republic, catering to both the local Latin community and international travelers looking for affordable, yet stylish rooms below the steep asking prices of downtown Manhattan hotels. The hotel, which features award-winning restaurant Jalao NYC, and flexible meeting space Above the Heights, is only one of two hotels in Washington Heights, the 5th largest neighborhood in New York City with a population of 150,000 people.

“Danielle has played such a pivotal role in the launch and continued success of Radio Hotel, working to raise awareness for and elevate the brand, ushering in programming to engage hotel guests and the local community, and consistently delivering improved metrics,” said Phil Tufano, Partner & Chief Operating Officer at Sightline Hospitality. “We have had the honor of witnessing Danielle’s growth over the years and are confident the hotel will thrive under her distinguished leadership.”

With 30+ years of professional hospitality experience, Danielle has homed her expertise across the hotel management spectrum with key roles as Director of Sales in business travel, corporate group, wholesale/fit, leisure and consortia and travel agency verticals. Danielle launched her hospitality career in New York City with an early title at The Hotel Pennsylvania, an independent hotel, followed by roles at Swissôtel, Ian Schrager Hotels, Loew’s Hotels, and Hilton Hotels Corporation, where she filled a multi-property position, followed by her working with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) as an Area Director in New York and various independent properties in the region.

“Welcoming visitors to Washington Heights has been one of the greatest pleasures of my career, and I’m thrilled to continue drawing new audiences to this hidden gem of a neighborhood and for the opportunity to greet returning guests,” Dymond said. “Radio Hotel has provided NYC visitors with an alternative stay — one that offers value without sacrificing style and comfort — and has added such value to the local community. I’m excited to harness the team’s entrepreneurial spirit for what’s to come.”

Committed to enhancing the guest experience, Danielle can often be found in the hotel’s vibrant lobby chatting with newcomers and wishing safe travel upon guests’ departures. At other times, she can be found hitting the pavement, building relationships, and developing impactful partnerships with community leaders to better learn how the property can serve its community and neighbors. As a leader dedicated to creating a happy and healthy workplace, Danielle also loves catching up with colleagues across the hotel, restaurant, and event space, and creating opportunities for cross-collaboration and team bonding.
