Marriott International is thrilled to announce the promotion of Sera Cawanibuka-Seruvatu to the esteemed position of Market Director of Marketing – Fiji & Samoa, effective from April 1, 2024.
Sera is an award-winning leader in the industry, bringing with her over two decades of experience in marketing. Her extensive background includes distinguished roles within the tourism sector, notably with Fiji’s national tourism board, Tourism Fiji, prior to joining Marriott International Fiji Resorts.
During her tenure at Marriott as Director of Marketing Fiji, Sera’s notable career achievements include leading the pre-opening of all cluster Sheraton properties in Fiji and implementing the repositioning of Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort and Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay. Additionally, in 2023, Sera led the successful MICE repositioning across Marriott International Fiji resorts that is currently being implemented.
In alignment with Marriott’s commitment to nurturing local talent, Sera will serve as the inaugural Market Director of Marketing for Fiji & Samoa, overseeing a portfolio of seven properties. In her new capacity, Sera will report directly to Neeraj Chadha, Multi-Property Vice President Pacific Islands Marriott International, General Manager Westin & Sheraton Resorts, Fiji Complex, with a dotted line to the Area Director of Marketing.
Encompassing Marriott’s commitment to invest in local talent, Sera will become the inaugural Market Director of Marketing for Fiji & Samoa, overseeing seven properties including Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay; Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island Fiji; Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort; Sheraton Denarau Villas; The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa; Sheraton Aggie Grey’s Hotel & Bungalows, Samoa and Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort.
In her new role, Sera will be reporting to Neeraj Chadha, Multi-Property Vice President Pacific Islands Marriott International, General Manager Westin & Sheraton Resorts, Fiji Complex with a dotted line to the Area Director of Marketing.
