KSL Resorts – which manages world-class destination resorts, hotels and high adventure experiences – has announced the promotion of Ian Pullan to senior vice president of asset performance west.
In his new role, Pullan will continue to concentrate on operations in KSL Resorts’ growing West Coast portfolio, successfully collaborating with onsite hotel teams to ensure a strong and productive company culture. Previously the company’s vice president of asset performance west, he also worked as vice president/general manager of Monarch Beach Resort during his eight-year tenure with KSL Resorts.
According to Scott Dalecio, chief executive officer of KSL Resorts, Pullan is a visionary leader and well deserving of this promotion. “Over the last three years, Ian has led the transition, integration and improved performance of multiple high-profile properties newly managed by KSL Resorts, among them Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, Fairmont Grand Del Mar and Silverado Resort and Spa,” he said.
“Ian’s professional and positive interaction with all our western properties – including their leaders, associates and communities – as well as with his corporate colleagues is exceptional,” he added. “As a senior leader of our team, we greatly appreciate his strong work ethic and business acumen. He is a stellar representative of our company culture, exceeding our expectations of ever-improving business performance.”
With more than three decades of international hospitality industry experience, Pullan worked for more than 13 years with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, holding various high-level positions. He got his start in the industry as a bellman in his native Ireland and has steadily worked his way up the ranks since then.
