Christophe Baraton named GM at Shutters on the Beach

Christophe Baraton Shutters on the BeachEdward Thomas Collection of Hotels (ETC) has announced the appointment of Christophe Baraton as General Manager of Shutters on the Beach.  In his new role, Baraton brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to the premier Santa Monica beachfront hotel, previously holding leadership positions with Ritz-Carlton, and Waldorf Astoria.

“We are thrilled to welcome Christophe to the ETC Hotels family,” said Charlie Lopez-Quintana, Edward Thomas Collection of Hotels Vice President and Managing Director.  “He brings extensive professional experience and a demonstrated passion for hospitality that will continue to enhance Shutters on the Beach’s world-class service and unforgettable experience.”

Before joining Shutters on the Beach, Baraton spent four years serving as the General Manager of Waldorf Astoria’s Boca Raton Beach Club in Florida, where he was responsible for overseeing the property’s 212-room luxury boutique hotel.  During his decorated career, Baraton held executive-level positions within Ritz Carlton and Hilton Hotels as well as 12 years with Morgan’s Hotel Group where he last served as General Manager of The Delano on South Beach.

Baraton loves windsurfing and hopes to renew his private pilot’s license in California. His wife and their two children share his passions for travel, food, and soccer. Baraton even coaches his son’s soccer teams whenever possible.
