Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, one of Texas’ leading resorts located right outside Austin, announces Cory Baum as Director of Sales and Marketing. Baum joins the property from Hyatt Regency Jacksonville in Florida.

Baum began working in the hotel industry as a front desk agent while attending college, an experience that further drove his interest in working in the hospitality field.

In 2005, Baum graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Business, Tourism, and Communications, which allowed him to gain a more focused approach to working with hotels. Immediately following graduation, Baum was accepted into Hyatt Corporation’s Corporate Management Trainee (CMT) program at Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago where he had a chance to experience each department.

After his time in the CMT program, Baum was quickly promoted as a planning manager in the events department, then promoted to the sales department where he held various positions and managed several markets. He has worked Hyatt properties throughout the country including Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Nevada, Hyatt Regency Morristown in New Jersey, Hyatt Regency Columbus in Ohio, and others.
