RAR Hospitality, a San Diego-based hotel management firm, announced one company promotion, and two new hires to the hotel group’s operations team.
Mark Ansteth has been promoted to General Manager of The Keating Hotel, Niveesha Hill has been newly assigned as the General Manager of Carlsbad by the Sea Resort and Stephen Hopkins has accepted the new role as General Manager for Quality Inn & Suites at Garden of the Gods.

Mark Ansteth has been promoted by the RAR Hospitality team as the General Manager of The Keating Hotel located in the Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown San Diego. Anseth also currently manages another RAR property, the Ramada St. James Gaslamp Quarter San Diego Hotel. He has over 40 years of diverse leadership experience from being the Director of Sales & Marketing at a multitude of resorts including DoubleTree Gold Resort in San Diego, Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Westward Look Resort & Spa in Tucson, Honua Kai Resort & Spa in Hawaii and Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe. Not only has Ansteth thrived working in resorts all across the United States, but he was also the President and Partner of eXpert Travel Inc. in San Diego. Due to Anseth’s varied experience in the industry, RAR Hospitality is confident he will bring exceptional expertise to his duties as a hotel general manager.
Niveesha Hill moved from Illinois to California to take on her role as General Manager for the RAR Hospitality independent property, Carlsbad by the Sea Resort in the Carlsbad Beach area of San Diego. Hill previously worked as a General Manager of the Hyatt Place in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. She also has a wide variety of hotel and management company experience with Wyndham/Crescent Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard/TMI Hospitality and Hilton/Pinnacle. Hill obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a Master’s Degree from Benedictine University Lisle.
Stephen Hopkins is the newly appointed General Manager of Quality Inn & Suites at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colo. and has a great hospitality background as well as varied experiences as a hotel leader. Hopkins was recently the Dual General Manager for the Springhill Suites and Towne Place Suites Colorado Springs. Prior to that, he was in San Diego working as the General Manager at the Courtyard San Diego Carlsbad. Hopkins has experiences with Wyndham, La Quinta and Hyatt Place. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver and he has both a Certified Hotel Administrator and Certified Revenue Management Executive designations.
