Gokce will oversee the Rooms division operation of Front Office, Housekeeping and Swissôtel Spa & Sport. He is proud to take the role as the new figurehead of the operations whilst maintaining the credibility of Swissôtel Al Ghurair and Swissôtel Living Al Ghurair, in line with AccorHotels standards.
Karakus brings with him over 10 years of experience in Rooms operations in Turkey. Gokce started his journey with Swissôtel brand in 2008 in Swissôtel Buyuk Efes Izmir, Turkey as a Receptionist. With his tremendous effort and dedication, he climbed the ladder and worked in various positions as Front Office Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager and Front Office Manager. Gokce subsequently moved and pioneered the pre-opening operations of Fairmont Quasar Istanbul in 2016 as Director of Rooms and Executive Committee Member.

Prior to joining Swissôtel Al Ghurair, Karakus worked with Persona Human Resources as a General Manager and Partner. Karakus built the entire operational flow of integrating financial and operational software for luxury and upper-class brands including Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Worldwide and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts.
Karakus holds a Masters in Business Administration from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey. He additionally completed Bachelor of Arts from Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, Turkey specialising in Tourism and Hotel Management.
