Record Year of Bookings for Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ Italian Hotel Portfolio

(SLH), the prestigious collection of more than 540 independent luxury hotels around the world, announces a record year of bookings for its independently-Small Luxury Hotels of the World Considerate Collectionminded Italian hotel portfolio.  Featuring 77 hotels throughout Italy, including three new openings in 2023 – La Roqqa (Porto Ercole), Cape of Senses (Torri del Benaco) and Furore (Amalfi Coast,) SLH has one of the most characterful and diverse portfolios.

Hotel de la Ville, Monza

Hotel de la Ville, a charming historic residence on the outskirts of Milan and overlooking the Villa Reale and Monza Park, will carry out major renovations in 2024 that will consolidate the Nardi family’s long tradition in luxury hospitality. The project includes the conversion of 16 single-occupancy rooms – a legacy of the building’s 19th-century origins – into eight new luxury double rooms with refined and exclusive furnishings and the latest technological facilities. Important sustainability innovations will also involve both spaces that house the hotel’s kitchen, in favor of a state-of-the-art system with high-tech equipment, and Derby Grill gourmet restaurant, which for more than 60 years has been recognised by industry guides as one of the most qualified in Italy.

Hotel Lungarno, Firenze

With a view over the Arno and Ponte Vecchio, Hotel Lungarno perfectly embodies the sense of the place with its charming and elegant atmosphere; inside, it has one of the most representative collections of contemporary art, with over 400 works including some by Cocteau and Picasso. Miramonti Boutique Hotel, Merano

It is a true ‘Mountaint retreat’ with unique views and direct access to the forest, a fascinating refuge with an extraordinary panorama. Built on porphyry stone at 1230 metres above sea level, in a forest setting above Merano. A major new project is the construction of Rock House: three new sustainable units, situated very closed to the Miramonti Boutique hotel, completely made of wood, protected by porphyry rock with a design that evokes Scandinavian and Japanese influences.
