Berlin hotel performance fell lower in January

Berlin hotel performanceWith tight pandemic restrictions, Berlin’s hotel industry reported lower performance than months prior, according to preliminary January 2022 data from STR.

  • Occupancy: 28.2%
  • Average daily rate (ADR): EUR75.85
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): EUR21.41

The occupancy level was the lowest in the market since June 2021, while ADR was the lowest since July 2021.

Daily data shows Berlin’s hotel occupancy came in at 38.7% on New Year’s Day, substantially lower than occupancy recorded on the same day in 2020 (75.3%) and 2019 (68.8%).
