TUI Group is set to expand its international concept hotel portfolio with the addition of 12 new TUI Sensimar hotels and three new TUI Family Life hotels in the financial year 2019.
As part of this expansion, TUI will also debut a TUI concept brand in the Greek island of Santorini with the TUI Sensimar Meltemi Blue. In addition, TUI Sensatori Barut Fethiye Resort in Turkey will be extended with the construction of a new building next to the hotel. This will take the portfolio of TUI’s three international concept hotel brands from 88 to 103 hotels*. UK guests have around 84 hotels to choose from. TUI Group’s overall hotel portfolio currently comprises 380 hotels and resorts, 50 of which are operated by third-party hoteliers.

TUI will continue to set standards for the holiday hotel industry in the future,” said Sebastian Ebel, TUI Group Executive Board member in charge of Hotels & Resorts. “We are also driving our growth roadmap in the hotel segment further ahead through our TUI Blue, Robinson and TUI Magic Life brands and our long-standing joint venture partners such as Riu.”
While some of 15 new hotels are located in top destinations such as Spain, Greece and Turkey, some others will expand the offering in Italy, Egypt, Tunisia and Croatia.

TUI Sensimar: new adults-only hotels
TUI Sensimar is a concept for couples who appreciate tranquillity and relaxation and are travelling without children. The four- to five-star hotels are in beach locations and offer their guests a low-key sports and entertainment programme. All TUI Sensimar hotels are “adults only“, i.e. bookings can only be made for guests aged 16 or 18 plus. The portfolio includes 49 further hotels in 13 countries.
