This year, the venue of GTCC Oktoberfest is changed to Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel to accommodate more guests and create a different new ambiance, but maintaining an absolutely authentic rustic Bavarian feel.
GTCC, in cooperation with the Germany Embassy Bangkok and Flow Inter Company will bring Oktoberfest and genuine Bavarian culture from Germany to Thailand once again with an exciting line-up on Friday 25th and 26th of October 2019 at the Grand Ballroom of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel.
Announcing the festival yesterday, Dr. Roland Wein, GTCC Executive Director, welcomed Mr. Jan Scheer, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the German Embassy Bangkok, who together introduced the history and traditions of Oktoberfest in Germany and also demonstrated the traditional barrel tapping which will signify the opening of the event in October.
The GTCC Oktoberfest is regarded by the German-Thai business community to be the most authentic and largest Oktoberfest in Thailand and they expect 900+ guests nightly.
Dr. Roland Wein said, “GTCC Oktoberfest is not only the largest in Thailand, but it is also one of our highlights of the year. Since our first Oktoberfest in Bangkok in 1980, the number of guests has increased annually, with 1,700 participants last year up from 1,500 in 2017.
“For this year, we will organise ‘GTCC Oktoberfest 2019’ for two days on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of October 2019. But hurry as the 25th is almost sold out.
Mr. Volker Hellstern, Managing Director of Häfele (Thailand) Co., Ltd., GTCC Oktoberfest Diamond Partner, also shared his thoughts, “Twenty five years ago it was the beginning of the brand ‘Häfele’ which is now well-known in Thailand. As the Diamond Partner of GTCC Oktoberfest for this year too, Häfele invites our customers to participate in this very unique authentic German Oktoberfest event… let’s party together,” Mr. Hellstern said.
Tickets are available through the GTCC.
