Majority of Americans view bipartisan immigration reform as solution

On Thursday, the hotel industry launched the Workforce & Immigration Initiative to emphasize the need for Congress to support the U.S. workforce and economy through bipartisan solutions to fix our nation’s broken immigration system, as reported in Hotel Business, Hotel Management, and Travel Daily News, among others.  This comes as discussions on immigration reform in Congress ramp up before the end of the year and nearly all hotels are experiencing staffing shortages. Hotels are looking to fill many of the jobs lost during the pandemic, including more than 105,000 hotel jobs currently open across the nation.

Hyatt announces plans for Hyatt Centric Escazu San Jose

 Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with an affiliate of Caribe Hospitality S.A. for Hyatt Centric Escazu San Jose. Expected to open in 2024, the lifestyle hotel will debut the Hyatt Centric brand in Costa Rica and will mark the third Hyatt Centric hotel in Central America, further demonstrating Hyatt’s intentional brand growth in Latin America and the Caribbean region, fueled by leisure travel demand.
