
Epicurean Hotel, a AAA Four Diamond boutique hotel in South Tampa, has named Dawn Aquila as Spa Director of Spa Evangeline, the property’s acclaimed full-service spa known for its indulgent, ingredient-focused treatments. In her new role, Aquila will oversee all aspects of the spa’s operations, including treatment development, promotional programming, staff training, and retail management.
With more than 30 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry, Aquila brings a strong foundation in hospitality, health sciences, and spa operations to her new position. Most recently, she served as a wellness coach and clinic sales manager at IMAC Regeneration Center of Tampa. Her leadership history includes the successful launch of LifeSpa at LifeTime Athletic in Tampa and prior Spa Director roles at top-tier Florida destinations, including Innisbrook Resort & Spa, Fisher Island Club, and The Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa.
Aquila holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Florida State University and is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She is also an active member of the International Spa Association (ISPA), reinforcing her commitment to professional growth and industry excellence.
Located in Tampa’s trendy Hyde Park historic district, the 188-room Epicurean Hotel was developed by Mainsail Lodging & Development in collaboration with the legendary Bern’s Steak House.
